    About Us

Precision Contractor is a veteran-owned general contractor based at 35 High St in Poughkeepsie. Jon Behrends has been building in the Hudson Valley since 1978.

We handle fast-track commercial build-outs and storefront fit-ups, structural repair, historic restoration, renovations, carpentry, framing, drywall, siding, windows and masonry across Dutchess, Ulster, Orange and Putnam counties.

Our own crew does most of the work, so the person who quotes your job is the person responsible for it. We are an EPA Lead-Safe Certified Firm.

Restoration work includes Maple Grove, an 1850 Italianate villa on the National Register of Historic Places, restored under NY State Historic Preservation Office review with Matthew Bialecki Associates (foundations, chimneys, porch, oculus and arched windows and shutters rebuilt in our shop), and 117 Academy St, an 1859 Victorian Italianate home in Poughkeepsie. Commercial work includes office, retail and medical fit-ups in downtown Poughkeepsie.

Office hours Mon-Sat 7 AM-6 PM; Sundays by appointment.
